Why I Love Holy Week

Palm Sunday is approaching - the beginning of Holy Week. Being in the parish choir, the schedule looks like this:  Final rehearsal on Wednesday, the full choir sings on Holy Thursday, our Taize group on Good Friday, followed by the full choir on Easter Vigil and Easter Sunday.

Busy? You bet!  But what better way to spend Holy Week than sharing through song Jesus' journey from His arrival in Jerusalem to His resurrection ... it's a wonderful and joyful way to praise God for what He so freely gave to us.  His Love, His Mercy, His Son.
On a more personal note:

All the songs we sing throughout the week are beautiful, (in fact some will be recorded for future posts for your listening enjoyment), but if I had to pick one that touches my heart the most, it would be the Litany of the Saints.  Listen Here,  It never fails to bring tears to my eyes because it reminds me of Easter Vigil, 2006 - my baptism and confirmation.
