Blind Trust

When my mom and dad moved in with us, they brought their dog. Mikey is a sweet Shih-tzu who is old and has recently lost his eyesight. When I take him outside, he has to take two steps down to get on the lawn then take those same steps up.  At first I had to carry him, but with a little practice and prodding he has learned that when I say, "okay, jump", he's where he needs to be to jump up or down and now does so with no hesitation ... blind trust.

It's the same with faith. We don't need to see God to know He is with us. There's a feeling of security, comfort and love filling the deepest recesses of our souls that can only be Him.  If we are feeling uneasy, anxious or frightened, it's because we are not listening or trusting Him.  He would never say, "okay, jump", without there being something to safely land on.

"Jesus said to him, "Have you believed because you have seen me?
Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."  (John 20:29)"
